Program Description

The Executive Certificate in Municipal Leadership program develops municipal leaders by increasing their capacity to lead people, teams, departments and organizations. Participants in this program will learn to shift their focus from day-to-day tasks to strategically achieving the organization's business goals while managing change and stakeholder expectations through effective leadership. Throughout the program's duration, participants will form long-lasting networks with like-minded leaders within the municipal environment.

This program is perfect if you want to...
  • 🗸 Explore leadership challenges in municipal government - applying leadership theory to real cases and examining ethical behaviours required to maintain public trust.
  • 🗸 Analyze leadership style preferences in relation to role requirements, assess communication strengths and opportunities, and explore the impact of Emotional Intelligence.
  • 🗸 Learn strategies for leading change effectively, overcoming challenges, and achieving results in complex municipal environments.
  • 🗸 Use tools like the DiSC assessment and experiential simulations to understand behaviour patterns, enhance coaching skills, build coalitions, and support communities.
