Course Description

This course consolidates the physical therapy skills required for assessment, interpretation/diagnosis, planning and treatment through the application of clinical decision making models, critical thinking and evidence-based practice.

Internationally Educated Physical Therapists.

Learning Objectives
The goal of the course is to consolidate clinical reasoning and decision making skills and prepare students for physical therapy practice. Use of differential diagnosis in the reasoning process, treatment planning and intervention, and use of outcome measures will be applied to clinically relevant cases in the major areas of PT practice. Application of verbal and written communication skills and inter-professional collaboration learned in EXFRM 2705 will be reinforced. Skills to search, apply, obtain employment and integrate into the Canadian Health care system will be presented and practiced.
