Course Description

This course will introduce the principles and interrelationships of Total Compensation strategy, Total Compensation plan design, Job Evaluation, and Performance Management. In a precarious economy, Total Compensation is a key ingredient in attracting and retenting of employees. There will be considerable discussion of current and emerging issues and trends in Total Compensation.

Who Should Take This Course?

Aimed at emerging to mid-career individuals looking to advance in their career in the area of human resources or in supervisory positions. It will be of special interest, among others, to HR practitioners, managers, supervisors, and training coordinators.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to: Understand the principles and concepts necessary to design and implement a reward and compensation system. Explain the strategic, organizational, and behavioural framework for compensation. Define the technical components of the compensation system. Understand the linkages between compensation and employee performance. Have an awareness of contemporary compensation issues.
