Course Description

Explore the benefits and challenges associated with the design and implementation of health and wellness initiatives and programs in the workplace. Learn evidence-based strategies to assess wellness needs, as well as to design, plan, implement, and strategically position wellness initiatives and programs. Measurement, evaluation, reporting, and sustainability are also reviewed, including benchmarking and using resources and tools to apply knowledge and skills in an integrated approach to health and wellness in the workplace.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to: Relate the dimensions of wellness and the determinants of health as they impact employee health and wellness. Explain the approach to perform an integrated assessment of the health and wellness needs of employees in the workplace. Demonstrate an understanding of a conceptual healthy workplace framework and model. Define best practice design elements required to achieve desired outcomes from workplace wellness strategies. Describe the process to align workplace wellness resources with the business strategies of the organization. Effectively utilize integrated implementation concepts to lead workplace wellness strategies and initiatives. Outline methods to design organizational workplace wellness strategies and objectives. Assess and analyze organizational baseline data to develop leading indicators for success. Demonstrate the knowledge related to the implementation of organizational workplace wellness strategies. Discuss preliminary post implementation evaluation and reporting elements.
