Course Description

Learn how to efficiently store and recall large volumes of data by using SQL (Structured Query Language) relational databases. SQL is essential for storing data in software projects and websites of any size. In this course, students will explore databases through MariaDB (MySQL) and examine the topic of data normalization. Topics include table creation, table relationships, data manipulation, subqueries, and more.

Learner Outcomes

After completing this course, students should be able to: ? Demonstrate an understanding of database concepts and their purpose. ? Build an entity relationship diagram representing data. ? Build a MySQL or MariaDB-compatible database.

Notes

This course combines 8 hours of live online sessions with 24 hours of modules/activities to be completed by the student, for a total of 32 hours.
