Course Description
Team leadership and management are pivotal in driving the success of a team. These critical roles encompass anticipating future challenges amidst constant change while maximizing the diverse strengths within the team and fostering respect for differences. In this workshop, participants will learn about the benefits of creating a positive team culture and what it takes to boost a team's well-being and productivity. Assessing team dynamics will guide participants in exploring the concept of team agreements, principles and shared values.

This program is ideal for individuals responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing teams, and fostering a productive workplace culture; new or aspiring supervisors, team leads, and managers who work directly with employees on the front lines. It would also benefit experienced employees transitioning into leadership roles and supervisors seeking to strengthen their skills in communication, team motivation, performance management, and conflict resolution. Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students should be able to:

- 🗸 Learn the attributes and operating principles of high-performing teams.
- 🗸 Discuss the importance of team charters, team meetings, role clarity and functions of everyone.
- 🗸 Recognize how teams function, causes of dysfunction and the importance of trust.
- 🗸 Discuss team management functions such as planning, performance management and delegating.
- 🗸 Evaluate traditional and evolving team dynamics including changes in workforce demographics.
- 🗸 Delve into the concepts of diversity, equity and inclusivity.
- 🗸 Discuss different types of teams, including virtual teams, and teams whose members are dispersed.
- 🗸 Discuss foundational matters such as team goal setting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
