EXBA 5689 - Analyzing Processes, Information and People
Course Description
Learn how to analyze and model business needs by focusing on people, processes, and information. You will work with practical tools such as organization models, workflow diagrams, and swim-lane diagrams to clearly define solution requirements. The course then builds on this foundation using UML techniques, including use cases, state diagrams, and sequence diagrams, to bring structure and context to solution design. You will also be introduced to key principles of data and data analysis, along with methodologies that provide a clear and reliable framework for effective business analysis.
As you build your competencies, this course may also support your progress toward the designations from International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
This course may be eligible for the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG), with final approval determined by CAPG administrators. Employers and applicants can review the CAPG guidelines and full details on the University of Alberta’s Continuing Education website.
