Course Description

Work through the economics of siting and starting a renewable energy project as you examine related business cases under the different perspectives of the three stakeholders involved in the development and approval of all energy projects: regulators, project investors, and the local community. Learn how to balance the costs and benefits to ensure projects are positive for each involved party.

As you build your competencies, this course may also support your progress toward the SETPâ„¢ Sustainable Energy Technologies Professional designation.

This course may be eligible for the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG), with final approval determined by CAPG administrators. Employers and applicants can review the CAPG guidelines and full details on the University of Alberta’s Continuing Education website.
