Course Description

Python is an interpreted, high-level, general-purpose programming language with a wide array of use cases. Topics include: Translating fundamental programming topics to the Python language, Unit Testing, Data Structures, File Input and Output, Charting and more.<

This course may be eligible for the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG), with final approval determined by CAPG administrators. Employers and applicants can review the CAPG guidelines and full details on the University of Alberta’s Continuing Education website.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • 🗸 Write simple command-line Python programs.
  • 🗸 Demonstrate knowledge of Python programming fundamentals.
