What You'll Earn
- 🗸 You will get the skills to be able to perform basic accounting tasks necessary to do the day-to-day operations, as well as to write monthly and yearly accounting reports. This way, your organization will be able to comply with various accounting regulations, such as those for tax purposes.
- Fees for each Course:$750.00 CAD

- Courses are GST-exempt.
- EXCSJ 6301 requires you to subscribe to QuickBooks Essentials (approx. $81)
- This program consists of two courses. Each course is 39 hours in length, for a total of 78 instructional hours.
- The program is designed for part-time study and must be completed within six months (180 days), 90 days per course. There is no minimum time requirement to complete the program.
- Each course must be completed within a maximum of three months. The first course (Creating, understanding and analyzing financial results) is a prerequisite to the second (Using bookkeeping software).
- The first course has two Certification Exams, and the second course has one Certification Exam. Those exams must be successfully completed to be allowed to start the next course or obtain the Certificate in Bookkeeping.
- The courses are Self-Paced Asynchronous, online. It is a flexible online learning experience where you work through the course materials and activities at your own pace. More info about online delivery formats can be found here. There are no real-time virtual classroom sessions to attend. There are no fixed terms to start your program.
- Grading is through exams. The courses also contain formative assessments to help you prepare for the exams.
- Course materials are shared through the University’s Learning Management Systems.
- Your instructors are more than educators and adult learning specialists. They are specialists in Specialized Education, as much in the work field as in the academic milieu.

- After you successfully complete your program requirements, you’ll receive an email letting you know when your certificate is ready. If you have any questions about your credentials, please contact the program office. Once you receive your certificate, you’ll also be eligible to become a UAlberta Associate Alumni.
- The graduates from this program can receive recognition from the Business Administration Technician (BAT) program. The participant would obtain 3 units for course TAATC 110 - Introduction to Accounting 1

- Proficiency in English and a stable internet connection are needed to participate and succeed in our courses.
