Program Description

The Climate Change and Health Certificate equips learners with the knowledge and skills to understand, address, and advocate for solutions at the intersection of climate change and human health. Across three courses: Climate Change and Health Risks, Climate Change and Health Solutions, and Climate Change and Health Advocacy and Activism, participants explore the evolving health impacts of a changing climate, examine evidence-based mitigation and adaptation strategies, and develop practical tools for communication, policy engagement, and community action. The program is intentionally designed for learners working both within the health sector and beyond it, recognizing that many of the most powerful health solutions emerge from decisions in fields such as energy, housing, transportation, food systems, and urban planning.

Positioned at the intersection of public health, communication, and digital literacy, this program delivers evidence-based, socially impactful education that addresses urgent challenges in real time. Designed for professionals, students, and community leaders, this fully online, competency-based program empowers learners to advance climate resilience, equity, and sustainability within their spheres of influence.

Who Will Benefit?

This program is designed for public health practitioners, healthcare providers, environmental and municipal planners, educators, and policy professionals from across sectors who want to integrate climate-health considerations into their practice.
