Course Description
Develop basic skills in drawing, drafting, and presentation relevant to the field of interior decorating. This intensive course includes hands-on application of theory. Learn basic line-drawing and modeled-drawing techniques, basic drafting tools and techniques, three-dimensional subjects and translation of these into two-dimensional images, as well as presentation techniques for portfolios and client proposals.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- 🗸 Apply light, shade and shadow in drawings.
- 🗸 Employ basic steps to create a ‘plan drawing’.
- 🗸 Create orthographic projections (elevation and axonometric drawings) for use in interior design and decorating projects.
- 🗸 Respect and appreciate the technical skills required to become competent in the field of interior design—(manual) drafting, visual presentation, and 3-D rendering techniques.
- 🗸 Assemble color and story boards to convey concepts and ideas.
