EXFRM 2730 - Assessing Long COVID in the Community
Course Description
Long COVID continues to be a global threat to public health, with millions worldwide experiencing poor health and disability as a result of SARS-CoV-2 infection. In Canada, statistics indicate that over 16% of individuals infected with COVID-19 go on to have long term effects.
As we move away from mitigation strategies, this number will likely rise, leading to a new onset of disability. Given the physical challenges faced by individuals with Long COVID, the likelihood that they seek out rehabilitation in the community is high. Rehabilitation professionals need to ensure they can identify Long COVID in practice and be able to provide safe, evidence-based management strategies.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:
