EXTTC 8001 - Microsoft Excel Level 2
Course Description
Take your Excel skills to the next level. Building on Microsoft Excel Level 1, this course (previously delivered by the Technology Training Centre) teaches you how to organize, analyze, protect, and present data more effectively using Excel tools and features. Learn how to work with formulas and links, manage multiple worksheets and workbooks, consolidate data, create impactful charts, and apply professional formatting techniques to make your work more efficient and visually engaging.
Through hands-on activities and projects, you will work with tools, panels, typography, images, colours, and layout techniques to create professional materials for print, web, social media and digital distribution. You will also learn how to prepare, package, and export documents for both print-ready and digital output.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

- 🗸 Create and use advanced formulas, including the IF function and linking formulas across worksheets and workbooks.
- 🗸 Create, modify, and customize charts to present data clearly and effectively.
- 🗸 Apply styles, annotations, and sparklines to enhance worksheet formatting and data visualization.

- 🗸To succeed in this course, you need basic computer skills and general knowledge of Windows. Microsoft Excel needs to be downloaded and activated on your computer prior to the start of the course. (Software is not provided with the course).
- 🗸It is recommended to complete Microsoft Excel Level 1 or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- 🗸Assessment includes post-course work to be completed.
- 🗸The use of AI assistants during class sessions is not permitted. Any AI assistants attempting to join a class session will be removed by the instructor.
