EXPH 2571 - Integrated Capping Course

This capping course will help learners build the knowledge and skills expected of pharmacists in contemporary Canadian clinical practice. The focus includes professionalism, ethics, person-centred care, patient diversity and complexity, and using the full scope of practice for Alberta pharmacists to assess patients, make decisions, and manage medication therapy.

The course is designed for:

• 🗸Exclusive use by learners enrolled in the full Diploma in Canadian Pharmacy Practice (DCPP) program.
• 🗸Internationally educated pharmacy graduates (IEPGs) who have completed course prerequisites and are planning to become a clinical pharmacist in Alberta or elsewhere in Canada.
• 🗸Pharmacists who have completed the prerequisites and are keen to enhance and apply pharmacy operational and patient care skills in scenarios realistic to Canadian practice.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

• 🗸 Apply the patient care process to complex, multimorbid patients across diverse populations.
