Diploma Description
Canada’s construction industry faces unprecedented demand for skilled leaders. According to BuildForce Canada’s 2025–2034 “Construction and Maintenance Looking Forward” report, the sector must recruit 380,500 workers by 2034, driven by growth (111,600 positions) and retirements (nearly 271,000). Even with an expected 272,200 new entrants, the industry is projected to face a shortfall of over 108,000 workers—highlighting the urgent need for managers who can lead projects from concept to completion.
This diploma equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to meet that challenge. You will explore the entire construction process, master costing and estimating, and gain expertise in creating detailed construction schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM). You’ll also examine the legal dimensions of the industry, from contract preparation to interpretation, while developing confidence in the human side of management through communication and negotiation training.
The Construction Management and Administration Diploma is delivered fully online, with flexible pathways that allow you to complete certificates in any order. There are no additional registration fees to build toward your diploma, making it easier to achieve your credential at your own pace.
As you build your competencies, some courses in this program may also support your progress toward the Gold Seal Certification or Achievement in Business Competencies (Blue Seal) Certificate designation.
